Bishops State of Origin Competition

​

Parties:

  • Bishops, Wards Road, Hohola, Papua New Guinea and participating suppliers (Promoter)

  • Any willing and eligible participant in the competition that fits the criteria set out below (Entrant)

Participation in Bishop’s State of Origin competition is deemed acceptance of these Conditions of Entry.

 

Dates of Competition

The competition commences 1st September 2020 and runs until 30th November 2020. The major prize winners of the competition will be drawn at 2:00pm PGT on Friday 11th of December 2020 at Bishops Port Moresby Warehouse by barrel draw. A minor prize draw will occur at each of Bishops Participating branches on the same day. Minor prizes will be drawn at 2:00pm local time. Entrants do not need to be in attendance for the draw. However, entrants and the general public may attend to witness the draw if they wish. The winners will be notified by phone and/or email. The competition is valid at Bishops Papua New Guinea warehouses only.

 

Details of the winner will be published on the Bishops website (www.bishopbros.com.pg) from 8th January 2021 and in the Bishops Quarterly Magazine.

 

Eligibility

The Competition is open to any resident of Papua New Guinea who fulfills the requirements set out in these terms and conditions. Bishops Employees, Bishops Suppliers and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter this competition. Immediate family, which could include but not limited to any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, defacto spouse, child or step child, parent, step parent, grandparent, step grandparent, brother, sister, step brother, step sister. The promoter has final say on eligibility.

 

Verification and Disqualification

The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these conditions of entry or who tampers with the entry process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter reserves the right to request the winner to sign a winner’s deed of release or any other relevant forms/agreements that the promoter deems necessary, to provide proof of identity. If the winner cannot provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit the right to the prize.

Entry Method & Prizes

To enter, entrants must:

  1. Purchase any product(s) to the value of K500 (including GST) from participating brands (STIHL, Bosch, King Tony, Duwell, Genpower) in one transaction.

  2. Accept the terms and conditions of this competition.

  3. Fill out an entry form and put in the entry box.

All products from participating brands (STIHL, Bosch, King Tony, Duwell, Genpower) are eligible. Entrants may enter multiple times, one entry per K500 (including GST) when purchasing products, i.e. if K250 is spent on King Tony products and K250 is spent on Duwell products in one transaction (including GST), the entrant will receive one entry. If K1000 is spent in one transaction, the entrant will receive two entries into the competition. Entrants details will be entered onto a ticket.

Prize Draw

The winner of the competition will be drawn by barrel draw. All individual entries have an equal chance at winning. The prize will be awarded to the company or individual whose purchase order appears on the winning entry drawn. The judges’ decision in relation to all aspects of this competition is final and binding on all who enter and no correspondence will be entered into.

 

Minor Prizes

There is one minor prize per branch, 6 in total. Minor prizes are the winners’ choice of a NSW Blues or QLD Maroons pack. The pack includes: SOO cap/bucket hat, SOO ball, SOO polo and SOO water bottle. It is the responsibility of the winner to organise the collection of their prizes.

 

 

Major Prize

The one major winner of the competition will receive a State of Origin (choice of either NSW Blues or QLD Maroons) supporters pack. The supporters pack includes SOO jersey, SOO Polo, SOO bucket hat/cap, SOO hoody and SOO water bottle. It is the winner’s responsibility to collect their prize from their closest Bishops branch within 14 days of being notified of winning.  A minor prize draw will occur for each branches entries at 2:00pm PGT on Friday 11th December at each Bishops branch location by barrel draw. 1 minor prize will be awarded per branch. It is the responsibility of the winner to organise the collection of their prizes.

 

Contacting Winners

The winner will be contacted by phone and/or email, using the contact details provided in their entry. Details of winner may also be published openly through the Promoter’s email, newsletter, website, publications and other media channels. Bishops will make all reasonable efforts to notify the winner. If a week of attempts to notify the winner has been unsuccessful a re-draw will occur on 18th December 2020. Bishops reserves the right to re-draw the winner in the case that the Terms and Conditions have been breached.

  

Personal Information

Entrants authorise the Promoter to be able to contact them with information relating to the competition or other promotions. In participating in the prizes, the winners agree to participate and co-operate when required in all editorial activities relating to the competition, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed for the Bishops Quarterly Magazine and possibly other media channels. If the winner is not willing to participate, they forfeit their right to the prize and must return the winnings.

 

Further Terms and Conditions 

The promoter accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage (including loss of opportunity) or theft of winnings. Bishops accepts no responsibility for any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected due to any event beyond reasonable control. Appearance of the prize may vary from advertised pictures and is subject to change. The Winner takes the prize entirely at his/her own risk and indemnifies the promoter in respect of any claim for any accident, injury, property damage or loss of life that may occur in connection with the prize. The Winner is responsible for all insurance, tax or other costs that may be associated with the prize. To the fullest extent permitted by law Bishops will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for personal injury as a result of promotion entry or winning the Promotion prize.
